Roger A Bernstein is a Florida Board Certified Immigration attorney with fifteen years of practice devoted exclusively to immigration law. He spent six years with the U.S. Department of Justice serving as an INS trial attorney, sector counsel to the INS’ Inspections and Investigations Divisions and INS Asylum Officer. Since co-founding Bernstein Osberg-Braun, LLC in 1998, Mr. Bernstein has focused his practice on assisting immigrant investors, acquiring employment based visas and complex immigration litigation.

Mr Bernstein has represented and counseled foreign governments, Fortune 500 companies and large-privately held companies. He has also successfully acquired non-immigrant visas and residency for hundreds of individuals who desired to live and work in the United States.

A graduate of Brown University and the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Bernstein serves on the Miami –Dade County Enterprise Zone Advisory Council, the Board of the American Jewish Committee, the Great Florida Bank Advisory Board and the Florida Bar Immigration Certification Committee. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Miguel Braun is the principal investigator with Bernstein Osberg-Braun, LLC. Problem cases are his specialty; a multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-ethnic individual, he lends valuable insight and a keen understanding to every matter. He focuses on a variety of complex investigative matters and problem solving. Mr. Braun's fifteen year experience includes civil and criminal private investigations for defense and prosecution and all investigations involving state and federal government cases. He has traveled abroad to conduct investigations in countries during times of conflict and rampant criminality.

He served as an investigator with the Federal Public Defender's Office for eight years as well as the Dade County Public Defender's Office. He was also an in house investigator for the law firm of Ferrell Schultz. As a troubleshooter, he offers a creative approach to solving investigative problems. He has been successful in exonerating innocent people and companies domestically and worldwide by taking a unique and tenacious approach. His investigations have also led to the successful prosecution and conviction of individuals engaged in criminal activity.

Jessica Meldon is an associate at Bernstein, Osberg-Braun and de Moraes. Ms. Meldon specializes in immigration litigation and focuses her practice on the representation of foreigners who have been placed in deportation or removal proceedings before an Immigration Judge. Ms. Meldon graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in History and English. In May 2009, Ms. Meldon graduated Cum Laude from St. Thomas School of Law, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in October of 2009. While in law school, Ms. Meldon was a part of the St. Thomas Immigration Clinic, and successfully represented clients on a pro bono basis. Most of Ms. Meldon’s legal education has been focused on immigration and international human rights law. Prior to her legal education she served as a legislative aid to Senator Rod Smith and as a clerk for Judge Mary Barzee.

Karen Caco

Karen Caco - US Immigration Lawyer Of Counsel Karen Caco is the senior Attorney exclusively practicing immigration and naturalization law.  Ms. Caco received her law degree from Widener Law School in Wilmington, Delaware. She is a certified mediator, arbitrator and dispute resolutionist, having received her training and certification from Pepperdine University School of Law (Strauss Institute).

She is a member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Florida and is admitted to practice in the Middle District Court of Florida. She is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, the International Bar Association based in London, U.K., the IIUSA (Invest In USA - Immigrant Investors Association), Collier County Women’s Bar Association, Collier County Bar Association, and Lee County Bar Association. Karen advises both U.S. based and foreign corporations about their immigration strategies. Her practice takes her all over the United States and worldwide where she assists businesses and individuals with their immigration needs. She assists individuals around the world at various Embassies and Consulates. While she is involved in all facets of immigration law, her area of concentration lies in business immigration, regional center start ups, million dollar green cards, regional center green cards, worldwide consular assistance, L1, E2 and H-1B visas and complex appeals. She has been interviewed many times by local and state newspapers on immigration issues as well as NBC and ABC and writes bi-weekly immigration columns for various print and online magazines.
